Accessibility Statement

ADDER Technologies is committed to making this website accessible to the widest possible audience, including people with disabilities. We believe that accessible design is good design and we work to ensure that our content, navigation, and forms can be used by everyone.

1. Standards We Follow

We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA. WCAG 2.1 Level AA is the international standard adopted by most accessibility regulations, including Ontario's Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA).

2. Measures We Have Taken

To support accessibility on this website, we have:

  • Built every page with semantic HTML landmarks (header, navigation, main content, footer).
  • Provided descriptive alternative text for informational images, and marked decorative imagery as such.
  • Ensured every interactive element (links, buttons, form fields, menus) is reachable and operable by keyboard alone.
  • Targeted text contrast ratios that meet or exceed WCAG AA (4.5:1 for body text, 3:1 for large text).
  • Included a skip-to-content link on every page so keyboard and screen-reader users can bypass repeated navigation.
  • Used clear, programmatic labels for every form field, with associated error messages.
  • Enabled automated accessibility linting in our build pipeline so common issues are caught before code reaches this site.

3. Known Limitations

Despite our efforts, some content may not yet meet every accessibility criterion. We are aware of the following limitations and continue to work on improvements:

  • Our contact and pricing forms rely on Cloudflare Turnstile, a third-party challenge widget used to deter automated spam. While Turnstile is designed to be more accessible than traditional CAPTCHA, its user experience is controlled by Cloudflare and may occasionally present barriers we cannot directly fix.
  • The pricing calculator's PDF download feature requires JavaScript and may not produce a PDF that is fully accessible to assistive technologies. If you need pricing information in an accessible alternative format, please contact us using the details below.
  • The embedded map on our contact page is provided by Google Maps and inherits Google's accessibility characteristics, which we do not control.

4. Our Ongoing Effort

Accessibility is an ongoing effort, not a one-time project. We review accessibility considerations as part of every change to the site, and we welcome reports of issues so we can address them.

5. Reporting an Accessibility Issue

If you encounter any barrier on this website, or have suggestions for how we can improve, please contact us. We aim to respond to accessibility feedback within a reasonable timeframe and address the issue as quickly as possible.

When reporting an issue, please tell us the page you were on, the assistive technology or browser you were using, and a description of the problem you encountered. This information helps us reproduce and fix the issue.

6. Alternative Formats

If you need information from this website provided in an alternative format — such as large print, a screen-reader-friendly document, or a phone call summarizing a page — please contact us using the details above. We will work with you to provide the information in a format that meets your needs at no additional cost.

7. AODA and Our Business Size

ADDER Technologiesis a small Ontario business with fewer than 50 employees. Under the AODA's Integrated Accessibility Standards Regulation (O. Reg. 191/11), the full WCAG 2.0 Level AA website conformance requirement applies to public sector organizations and to private-sector organizations with 50 or more employees. While we are below that threshold, we choose to align our website with WCAG 2.1 Level AA as a matter of policy because we believe accessibility is the right thing to do and benefits all of our visitors.

We will update this statement as we make improvements to the site or as accessibility standards evolve. The date at the top of this page reflects the most recent update.
